traditional Italian Restaurant

traditional cuisine

Italian traditional cuisine is known for its simple and fresh ingredients, with a focus on bold flavors and seasonal produce.

Each region of Italy has its own distinct culinary traditions: Modena is well known for its balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano Reggiano, and lasagna.

We make sure to incorporate traditional ingredients into our dishes, bringing a true taste of Northern Italy to each plate.

our specialty

Lasagna is a traditional Italian dish that has been enjoyed for generations. The dish is typically served as a family-style meal and is often associated with special occasions and celebrations.

Despite its long history, lasagna continues to evolve, with modern variations incorporating different ingredients and flavors.

However, the classic lasagna remains a beloved staple in Italian cuisine, satisfying both the taste buds and the soul.

Meet The Chef

William Mattiello

After operating a successful restaurant in the bustling heart of New York City we decided to bring the traditional Northern Italian cuisine to Denver, NC.

The restaurant in Manhattan was originally called Via Emilia, but in order to pay homage to our family heritage, we rebranded as Mattiello’s.

The owner and head chef is from Modena, Italy, hometown of tenor Luciano Pavarotti, entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari and world renowned chef Massimo Bottura. Here, he sharpened his culinary skills and developed a passion for cooking.

The Concept

At Mattiello’s, we are dedicated to providing our guests with an authentic and enjoyable dining experience.
We hope that our customers will savor the delicious flavors of our food and feel as though they are taking a journey to Italy with each bite. We hope you enjoy your food and buon appetito!
